Our Regional Leaders’ role is to be an Advocate for the Frontier Network, encouraging further growth of membership.
Each Regional Leader has been chosen for the high regard in which they are held within their local region’s energy industry. They are:
Jennifer S. Medcalf
North America
President of The REACH Group, a global service provider of coaching to implement a performance culture that delivers safe, efficient operations, Jennifer’s distinguished career has been focused on the global energy industry for over 20 years and she brings with her a formidable 30+ years’ track record in sales, marketing and business development.
As one of the best-connected industry professionals in North America, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Ocean Industries Association and is a member of several leading professional organisations, including the International Association of Drilling Contractors, Society of Petroleum Engineers and Women’s Energy Network.

Ian Cross
South East Asia
An expert on global upstream activities, Ian is a Managing Director at Moyes, a boutique advisory company in the commercial space. Having spent a large part of his early career working as a geologist with Elf in London, he expanded his international knowledge, moving overseas with IEDS and then IHS, in Singapore and Houston respectively.
Reflecting his breadth and depth of regional knowledge, Ian is the current President of the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society (SEAPEX) and most recently Chairman of the society’s March 2023 SEC23 conference in Singapore.

Amalia Olivera-Riley
Europe & UK
Amalia Olivera-Riley was recently distinguished as one of the Top 275 Global Female Influencers by the Energy Council and her almost-30 years of experience in in deep water, onshore, and unconventional environments includes leadership and executive level positions with companies such as ExxonMobil, Repsol, and Tullow Oil.
Currently Executive Business Advisor with Subsurface Consultants & Associates, she also serves on the board of Lean In Equity and Sustainability, leading the growth of the Europe network to support women in the energy industry. Most recently Amalia chaired Global Energy Week in London, 2023.

Shakwa Nyambe
Sub-Saharan Africa
Shakwa Nyambe is the founder and managing partner of the law firm SNC Incorporated, Namibia. A legal practitioner of the High Court and Supreme Court of Namibia, he is a specialist in energy, natural resources, and commercial law, advising international corporations, state-owned enterprises, governments, and individuals in oil & gas, renewable energy, and mining projects. He provides legal services to foreign investors in matters ranging from M&A, commercial transactions, and corporate governance to project financing.
Shakwa’s regional and international energy industry connections are unrivalled, having previously held the roles of Legal Counsel at the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia, Chief Legal Officer at the Ministry of Justice, Namibia and as a State Advocate at the High Court of Namibia.
