Tanzania 5th Licensing Round Headlining Africa Energies Summit, 13 - 15 May London
Frontier is pleased to announce that the Tanzania 5th Licensing Round has been confirmed as a Platinum Showcase Sponsor at the Africa Energies Summit 2025, set to take place in London from 13th – 15th May.
This highly anticipated licensing round presents a premier opportunity for E&P companies to secure a stake in one of Africa’s most promising oil and gas frontiers. With 57 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, Tanzania is actively working to transform its resources into a catalyst for domestic energy needs while contributing to global sustainable energy goals.
Spearheaded by Tanzania’s Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA), the initiative to use the Africa Energies Summit as a platform to promote will provide opportunities for direct engagement opportunities with investors in London. The Tanzania delegation will showcase the newly available exploration blocks, highlight investment incentives, and participate in high-level bilateral meetings with potential partners.
Gayle Meikle, CEO of Frontier, commented:
"With a mission to attract significant investment, we are delighted to welcome the Tanzania 5th Licensing Round and the PURA team as a key Sponsor at the Africa Energies Summit. Our platform is dedicated to driving high-level engagement and investment into Africa, and the Summit - attended by C-level executives and key decision-makers - is the perfect venue for Tanzania to connect with serious investors. We look forward to working closely with PURA to maximise exposure and impact in London."
The official launch of the 5th Licensing Round will take place at the 11th East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EAPCE) in Dar es Salaam next week, where Frontier CEO Gayle Meikle will also speak. She will meet with PURA and key stakeholders to discuss promotional strategies ahead of the Summit. In June of last year, TGS, a global leader in energy data and intelligence, signed an agreement with PURA to manage and license the country’s extensive offshore subsurface data. This collection includes 2D and 3D seismic data covering an area of over 132,000 km2.
With Tanzania positioning itself as a key player in Africa’s energy landscape, the Africa Energies Summit 2025 will serve as the ideal strategic platform to drive investment and partnerships, ensuring the country’s vast energy potential is realised.
