To successfully bring your people along with the move to a net zero future… Energy Needs a Leadership Moonshot

As we move towards a net zero future, it's clear that the energy sector is at a tipping point. How leaders help their people navigate this moment in time will be key to both the immediate and lasting success of the organisations within it. From this, in 2022, Alchemist witnessed unprecedented investment in leadership training form their Energy sector clients as they look to their people leaders to drive innovation, performance and talent retention at every level.

Energy sector leaders must be able to think outside the box, challenge the status quo and inspire their teams to do the same. They must be adept at quickly identifying, and capitalising on, new opportunities to improve, enhance and reimagine how things are done. And perhaps most importantly, energy sector leaders must be able to build and maintain cohesive, high-performing teams. With so much at stake, it's clear that energy sector leadership is not for the faint of heart. But for those up to the challenge, the rewards can be immense.

That's why Alchemist is hosting an interactive session at Energy 2050 Summit called "Energy Needs a Leadership Moonshot." This session will shine a light on the human interactions that drive innovation, performance and talent retention. Prepare to be a fly on the wall during the everyday conversations that will define how quickly we rise to the challenge of accelerating the energy transition.

In this highly interactive forum theatre session, you'll have the opportunity to see people leadership in action, as well as explore the challenges and opportunities that come with it. You'll also get the chance to share your own experiences and perspectives with other energy sector leaders.

I'll be leading the session. I'm a pro-social leadership advocate with extensive experience consulting with global energy companies on leadership development and I'll be be joined by Dr Elizabeth Healy (PhD, Neuroscience), an Executive Leadership Coach and Facilitator. We'll be accompanied by two special guests that will help bring the critical themes of the session to life.

Fascinating and just a little bit different from what you might expect; that sums up the Energy 2050 Summit
